A classic design Minolta design with assistance from Leica which dates back to 1986. Renowed for its high sharpness and lower contrast due to its high complexity. It was built by hand at the Sakai factory which made/makes all the high end apo and special lenses, and Minolta themselves have admitted that this lens was sold for well under its true production price.
